Thobejane support for embattled keeper

Baroka FC coach, Kgoloko Thobejane says he has told embattled goalkeeper, Oscarine Masuluke not to dwell on the mistakes he does but rather work on improving his game.

Masuluke has been suspicious in the past few games for Baroka as he gifted strikers easy goals. The 23-year-old keeper made another howler on Wednesday as Bakgaga hosted Black Leopards in the promotion play-offs.

Masuluke fumbled what looked to be a routine catch and the ball kindly fell for Mziwokuthula Zimu to tap in for Lidoda Duvha’s consolation goal in the 2-1 win on Wednesday afternoon. He again fumbled another easy catch a few minutes later but was lucky that there was no Leopards player nearby to take advantage. The howlers had the Baroka supporters on his case as they hurled insults at him.

But Masuluke can rely on Thobejane for support. “Looking at that goal, I have told him (Masuluke) that football is about time. Mistakes are part of football. When you make mistakes, you have time to correct them,” said Thobejane in a post-match interview.
