Pirates striker promises more goals

By Tshepo Ntsoelengoe

The Malawian international scored all his three goals in the first half before midfielder Ben Motshwari scored Bucs fourth goal of the match just before half-time. Rise and Shine scored their consolation goal through Mohammad Annas, but it wasn’t enough to help them back into the game.

“First of all, I would like to thank God and my teammates. Also, thanks to our supporters for coming in numbers. We started this thing at training and for me, I just want to keep going and keep pushing. This is my second time [scoring a hat-trick], but I think we will see more coming,” the Bucs striker told the media after the game.

Mhango has now scored 10 League goals for the Buccaneers so far this season, making him the current top goal-scorer in the Absa Premiership. He is followed by Highlands Park striker Peter Shalulile who has nine goals, while Kaizer Chiefs striker Samir Nurkovic is in third place with eight goals to his name.
