Sundowns monitoring Musona’s situation at Anderlecht

Mamelodi Sundowns are said to be keeping tabs on Knowledge Musona's situation at Anderlecht and could be tempted to make another offer for him should he become available.

As reported earlier, the former Kaizer Chiefs striker has been put on the transfer list at the Belgium giants after returning on loan at KAS Eupen, whom he joined during the January transfer window.

Before the Belgian Pro League was cut short and declared overdue to the coronavirus pandemic, Musona was receiving regular game time, scoring two goals and making two assists in six starts for Eupen.

Sundowns were keen to sign Musona during the January transfer, but he chose to remain in Belgium and joined Eupen instead.

Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane confirmed that they made an offer to sign Zimbabwean forward Knowledge Musona.

Mosimane expressed disappointment at his side failing to secure the services of Musona from Anderlecht.

“It football you try and get it you can’t. Even with Knowledge, I can confirm to you that we wanted Musona and he decided to go to Aspire (who own Eupen), and we can’t match the Qatar offer, but it is okay,” said Musona at the time.
