Ter Stegen says he enjoyed South African experience

FC Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen says he enjoyed the experience of his first trip to South Africa.

Barca beat Sundowns 3-1 in an international friendly at FNB Stadium on Wednesday night.

“It was a super nice experience for every one of us and I’m happy we won the match in the end,” Ter Stegen told SuperSport TV after the game.

“It was all about the experience but it felt good to get the victory and it was important for the fans.

“It wasn’t only about the match but about the experience, the atmosphere, and seeing the people here. I’m so happy for it,” added the German international.

“It was amazing because in the end they supported both teams the same way. That’s how it should be for a match like this.

“Thank you for your support; it was great for all of us and hopefully we will come back soon.”
