VANDERBIJLPARK. – “As a Vaal Pageant titleholder you are not just a beautiful face, but also an ambassador for the Vaal Triangle,” says Erika Labuschagne, owner and organiser of the annual Vaal Pageant.

“When we started planning Vaal Pageant this year, we thought long and hard about what we could do to portray what we stand for more strongly. The answer was ‘you lead by example’. That is why we as Vaal Pageant organisers have decided to join hands with various institutions and organizations in order to make a greater impact in the community. One of these institutions is Vaal Pets and we officially took on two friendly dogs, Gandulf and Tinkerbell, as the Vaal Pageant’s Doggy Ambassadors,” says Erika.

The Vaal Pageant intends to undertake quite a number of projects at Vaal Pets this year. “We are honored to boast the most beautiful Vaal Pageant Ambassadors,” says Erika laughingly.

Gandulf and Tinkerbell were officially incorporated by the Vaal Pageant at Vaal Pets on Sunday, May 2, where they are lovingly looked after by Kendra and her team of dog lovers.

“We are also proud to announce that the Vaal Pageant will be actively involved in the reality show Ster-Status’ charity projects this year. It is true that one person can make a difference, but together we can have a massive impact,” says Erika.
