Much needed support for Vaalpets

VANDERBIJLPARK. - Charlotte Ann Kritzinger and her team at Curves Vanderbijlpark recently opened their hearts in support of Vaalpets during this trying time.

Vaalpets was thankful to be the recipient at Curves’ month of March Food Drive. “Just look at how privileged we are to receive all these donations and above all cash to the value of R576. Once again thank to the Vaal Triangle for looking after the Vaalpets dogs. We estimate that we have nearly reached the additional 1 ton of food required for the lockdown period.”

  • Vaalrivier Community and Pet Care (Vaalpets) provides various educational and care taking initiatives in and around the Vaal Triangle. We provide dog-pellets to underfed dogs, wooden doghouses, water and food-bowls primarily to the Bophelong township. We also head the Bophelong Community Veterinary clinic that provides primary healthcare to the dogs and cats in the township. A clinic is held once a month where pets are inoculated, dewormed and dipped at R10 per pet. We take township dogs for medical treatment and do on average 84 sterilisations per month. We also take in, rehabilitate and re-home dogs in need from anywhere other than the township. Recently we started an educational initiative in association with Bophelong Primary to teach young learners to love and care for their pets.

We are a registered NPC. Donations are needed for our continued work. You can make a real difference by your support, enabling us to do the footwork. The more funding we receive, the more dogs we can sterilise at our clinic, and really start working on the real solution. Our bank details are:
