MIDVAAL. – The JMPD, SANDF and SAPS in cooperation with the DA and the Midvaal Local Municipality are in the process of demolishing structures that were illegally erected at Elandsfontein, South of Johannesburg.

 

This follows after the North Gauteng High Court granted permission for the eviction of land invaders illegally occupying land there.

 

The application was successfully brought by residents with the assistance of civil rights group AfriForum.
