The woman sustained serious injuries and required Advanced Life Support intervention to stabilise her.

Shawn Herbst of Netcare 911 said at 06H45 on Sunday morning paramedics responded to reports of a collision on Houtkop Road in Sebokeng.

According to Herbst reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a light motor vehicle lost control resulting in the vehicle crossing into a bus traveling in the opposite direction.

“Due to the nature of her injuries a Netcare 911 Helicopter ambulance was activated to airlift the patient to hospital.”
