ER 24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said paramedics arrived on the scene to find the local authorities were already in attendance.
The body of a man was found lying in the veld near the dirt road.

“The man was found bound, had sustained serious burn wounds and showed no signs of life” said Meiring.
“Nothing could be done for the man, and he was declared dead.”

Meiring said a second man was found a little further down the road. Assessments showed that he had sustained moderate injuries. The man was treated and thereafter transported to a nearby provincial hospital for further care. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
