PICS: Rotten meat and vegetables found at an outlet in Vanderbijil

VANDERBIJILPARK.- A shopping outlet in Vanderbijilpark was found selling rotten meat and vegetables.

Gauteng MEC for community safety Faith Mazibuko and her team were at Vanderbijlpark on Wednesday.

In a tweet Mazibuko said: “Rotten meat and vegetables found at Shoprite in Vanderbijlpark. Check what you are buying…”

When Vaalweekblad visited the store on Wednesday it was fully operational.

Meanwhile, in a Covid-19 compliance monitoring operation on Wednesday Mazibuko fined Checkers Hyper for a Butchery that was not clean and issued the outlet with a warning for not having a Covid compliance officer.
