Witnesses sought in culpable homicide where woman died
VANDERBIJLPARK. – The police in Vanderbijlpark are looking for a Nigerian man, Edmond Ndeye known as Eddie to serve as a witness of a culpable homicide.
Ndeye is alleged to have been in the car with Hendrika Ehlers who lost her life during a car accident on March 7th at 17:30. It is alleged that the deceased lost control of her vehicle and collided with the palisade fence at Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM).

Police spokesperson Sergeant Gertrude Makhale says, “Police were called to the scene of a white Audi S5 that lost control and collided with the palisade fence. It is alleged that the car rolled and Hendrika Ehlers lost her life.”
According to eyewitnesses who witnessed the accident, the white Audi turned off Everest Street in Frikkie Meyer Boulevard and turned at high speed and lost control.
“We were first on the scene and saw a man getting out of the driver’s side with the woman’s handbag. He shouted that an ambulance should be called. She (Johanita) was lying about 10 meters further behind the vehicle,” the eyewitness, who requested to remain anonymous, said.
The police are urging anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward and assist with the investigation. Those with information can contact Detective Warrant Officer Booyens on 074 677 8131.
