Christmas tree festive cheer at Vaal Mall

VANDERBIJLPARK. - To celebrate the holidays and the spirit of the festive season Vaal Mall shoppers were invited to create their very own innovative Christmas trees and unique table decorations for the chance to win their share of Vaal Mall gift cards.

Now a much-loved annual tradition, this year Vaal Mall received 41 tree and 26 table decoration entries for consideration. The top three prize winners in the Christmas tree category walked away with a massive R15 000, R10 000 and R5 000, while first, second and third best table decorators won R5 000, R3 000 and R2 000 respectively.

Vaal Mall tenants joined the fun, with Pick n Pay, Torga Optical, Bargain Books and Milady’s adding their creative flair to the competition and were matched only by the talents of the centre’s security, cleaning, car guard and waste support staff.

Carla de Villiers-Malan, Regional Marketing Manager for Vaal Mall says the submissions for this year’s competition were joyful, creative and beautiful. “We are overwhelmed by the response and would like to thank everyone who entered. Not only did our entrants share the joy by building a unique tree, but they also shared a piece of themselves to inspire our community.”

This year’s entries for both Christmas trees and table decorations will be on display at Vaal Mall until 4 January. “At this special time of year, we’re looking forward to doing our bit to ensure a lighter and brighter festive season for all Vaal Mall shoppers,” says de Villiers-Malan.
