Star Nissan Group thrills public with spectacular Magnite launch

“We are excited to finally have the Nissan Magnite in South Africa and we cannot wait for our customers to experience it for themselves, right here in the Vaal Triangle,” says Edwin Strauss

The Star Nissan Group’s recent introduction of the Nissan Magnite in Vaal Mall was without a doubt one of the most exhilarating events of its kind ever seen in South Africa.

The launch started with a big screen video of a fast chase through Vaal Mall’s under-cover parking area’s winding driveway and the wide passages in the shopping complex. The next moment the “real” Magnite seemed to burst in from nowhere, while a sudden explosion of red and white confetti added to the cheer and excitement. Truly a stunning performance put together by Edwin Strauss, CEO of Star Nissan and his team, and Ruan Vermaak and his team from Magico SA.

Apart from many vehicle enthusiasts, the event was also attended by Charl Timms, Sales Director of Nissan South Africa.

The presence of lovely Erika Labuschagne (Mrs South Africa Globe 2019 and Queen of Africa 2020) and Franzé Janse van Rensburg (Miss Vaal 2020/21) added extra sparkle to this breathtaking event. Spectators could hardly wait to see the all-new Nissan Magnite up close and many couldn’t resist taking selfies in front of this much-awaited B-Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV).

“We are excited to finally have the Nissan Magnite in South Africa and we cannot wait for our customers to experience it for themselves, right here in the Vaal Triangle,” says Edwin Strauss.

True to Nissan’s global SUV DNA of advanced technology, the Magnite comes with numerous first-in-class and best-in-segment features that will provide customers with a differentiated, innovative, and accessible experience.

With its high strength and impact absorbing efficient body structure, the Magnite is equipped with a variety of safety features such as an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Start Assist (HSA), speed sensing door lock, central locking and SRS dual airbag system.

It features the latest technology as part of the Nissan Intelligent Mobility (NIM) and includes an impressive 8-inch full flash touch screen, with best-in-class wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, compatible with the latest devices to ensure every journey is a first-class experience.

A first in its segment, the all-new Nissan Magnite is also equipped with one of Nissan’s top support technologies, the Around View Monitor (AVM), which gives the driver a virtual bird’s eye view from above the vehicle.
