VEREENIGING.- The Democratic Alliance (DA) has started a petition calling on Gauteng Provincial Government to complete the Vereeniging Taxi-Rank.

The petition has garnered 2486 from its 20000 target.

In the petition which is addressed to Gauteng Provincial Government, the DA alleges that the multi-million rand taxi rank was initially scheduled to be complete in 2015.

“In December 2019, the Provincial Government announced that it would demolish the unfinished rank and replace it with a larger intermodal rank incorporating retail space, but today, seven years since construction started, there has been no development.”
