Man’s body lies next to N1 for two days

An inquest docket has been opened by the Vanderbijlpark Police.

VANDERBIJLPARK.- An inquest docket has been opened by the Vanderbijlpark Police after the body of a man was found next to the N1 Highway recently.

It is said that the body had been lying there for approximately two days.

Police Spokesperson, Sergeant Gertrude Makhale said: “Police were called to the scene upon the discovery of the unknown male who was lying near N1 road, wearing a blue jean, green overall top, white takkies and he had a cream and orange blanket next to him. The deceased was found with no injuries.

“It is alleged that the body that was found has been laying for two days next to the road.”

Vanderbijlpark SAPS is requesting anyone who may have lost their loved ones or have a missing person or who may know the deceased to please come forward or contact Warrant Officer Booyens on 074 677 8131 or 016 910-9122.
