DE DEUR . Police interrupted the mission of the ‘Izinyoka’ (cable thieves) at a plot on Evaton Road, Dreamland near De Deur.

The community around said this has been a common job by  cable thieves to climb on the pole and temper with the transformer.

Police officers were on their way rushing to a complainant elsewhere at the time they come across a home-made ladder lying on the ground.

What made the police suspicious is that immediately when the suspects saw the police bakkie they ran indifferent directions and left behind their ladder  with the aim of collecting it later.
