After 32 years of running a highly regarded upmarket store in Vanderbijlpark’s Central Business District, Drosdy Furnishers will be moving to new premises in the Vaal Lifestyle Centre in Rabie Street on July 30. These impressive new premises can be seen from Barrage Road, invitingly welcoming local residents as well as travellers who drive through this lively area of the Vaal.

Drosdy Furnishers was started in 1990 by Mr Martin van Rensburg, who built up strong business relationships with his clients and other business owners in the CBD. His daughter Jeanne Pretorius later bought Drosdy Furnishers from him and runs it with the same dedication and attention to detail.

“My staff and I strive to build personal relationships with our clients. Our customers are not just a number – we go the extra mile for them. Because we aren’t part of a franchise we have more flexibility to meet each customer’s unique needs,” says Jeanne.

“We have so far focussed mainly on home furniture and beds, but we intend to turn the new store into a complete lifestyle store. For example, we are going to bring in new mattress brands like Sealy, as well as patio furniture and the entire Webber range. We also plan to offer a complete carpet section, as well as one for office furniture. Further in the future we want to bring in a complete audio section, and lovely decorating items such as wallpaper.”
