MIDVAAL. – Renovatio River Estate is an exclusive wedding and event venue located on the Suikerbos River in Uitvlugt, a short distance from Three Rivers, Vereeniging. The private 15-hectare river estate features four different Cape Dutch styled venues and outside areas, each of which is uniquely designed and surrounded by lush lawns, olive trees, tall Blue Gum trees and white roses.
Renovatio’s history dates back to the early 1800’s and is home to the original sandstone farmhouse built by a farmer who settled on the banks of the river, calling his large farm Uitvlugt. It is no longer a single farm today as it has been divided and sub divided over time, however, it still is in a large farming area located in Midvaal. Restored to its former glory, the Farmhouse, Chapel and parts of the Renovatio Banqueting Hall contain the original sandstones that were used when building the historical Uitvlugt Farm in 1883.

On the Suikerbos River, a short walk along the riverbed, you will find an old concrete bridge, the remains of a forgotten road used by horseback commuters crossing the river in the 1900’s.
Renovatio is an ideal venue for those who prefer privacy as only one wedding is hosted per day. The tranquil river estate is a photographer’s dream as there are many picturesque areas, including the huge 100-year-old Blue Gum tree affectionately known as The Century Tree. A private space for brides to get ready for their wedding day is available in the plush Bridal Suite and private courtyard at the 1883 Farmhouse.
