Midvaal mayor encourages motorists to drive safely

In anticipation of the Easter weekend, Peter Teixeira, mayor of the Midvaal Local Municipality, and Gerrit Viljoen, MMC for public safety and roads, joined traffic officers out on the streets to encourage motorists to drive safely and adhere to the rules of the road.

MIDVAAL. – In a short video message released on Thursday 6 April 2023 Teixeira urged motorists who are using the roads to refrain from drinking and driving.

Teixeira added that motorists should make sure to stop and rest during long travels.

“Let us have a blessed holiday with our loved ones. Happy Easter from me to you,” Teixeira concluded.
