Learners complete basic sewing skills training

Helplift Network Vaal Triangle recently presented certificates of competency to four learners who completed their basic Sewing skills training.

VANDERBIJLPARK. – The course consisted of basic sewing by hand and machine.

The four learners were Jolene van Rooyen, Tamare Dzvarai, Petro Mollers, and Magda McGeer.

Tersia Kellerman, a management member of Helplift Network Vaal Triangle, presented the certificates.

Helplift Network Vaal Triangle thanked Nelie Baird who facilitated the basic sewing skills training.

“She did it with love and dedication. Her commitment of time and energy, towards Helplift Network Vaal Triangle and the community she supports, is highly appreciated,” said Helplift Network Vaal Triangle in a statement.

Although the learners are ready to start sewing for an income they do not have their own sewing machines.

If you would like to enable these dedicated learners to become self-sustainable by sponsoring or giving them a machine you can contact Tersia Kellerman at 082 452 1812.

Helplift Network Vaal Triangle will start with a new batch of learners on 17 April 2023.
