Great opportunity for local designers
This is an opportunity to get noticed in the fashion industry and make your mark. If selected as a finalist your garment(s) will be showcased at a professional choreographed event on 19 August.
The organisers of the Mr, Miss & Mrs Diamond of the Year Pageant, Brandan Erxleben and Renita Lombard, in conjunction with 90.6fm & MooiVaal Media, will be hosting the Vaal Designer Of the Year event on Saturday, 19 August at The Bar with No Name in Vaalpark.
The Theme for 2023 is DIAMONDS UNDER PRESSURE. Local Designers can enter a maximum of 4 garments each at an entry fee of R50 per garment. The entry fee money will be part of the prizes for Vaal Designer of the Year.
This year designers can also enter male garments.
Fantastic prizes to be won. Nanacoco Professional will be sponsoring Coco Box gifts for all winners, Riviera-on-Vaal and Nonyana Lodge will be sponsoring break-aways for the winners and should you be the winner of your category, your winning garment with your contact details will be showcased on a mannequin at Vaal Mall for one week.
Tentworx, SA Music Group, and Nowtech will be sponsoring staging, lighting and décor for this event.
The Vaal, Designer of the Year Categories are:
- Non-qualified designers with NO TRAINING
- Non-qualified designers still IN TRAINING
- Designers with an established business
The Styling Loft, MooiVaal Media, 90.6fm, and Renita Lombard Productions would like to invite all Vaal Triangle pupils and their parents to this showcase. This is the perfect platform to get ideas for matric farewell dresses and meet new up-coming designers.
