VEREENIGING. – The Rotary Anns Club of Riverside inducted their incoming Ann President, Ina Labuschagne on Saturday, 1 July 2023 at Footprints Restaurant in Vereeniging.
The outgoing President Myrtle Stringer’s year was dedicated to those in need and those without voices. The projects these hardworking Rotary Ann ladies accomplished were terrific.

The Anns assisted learners of Handhawer School with winter uniforms, Easter hampers were sent to the children’s homes, Christmas hampers were sent to the elderly and the children, and they supported the SPCA and Fifty Shades of Spay.
One of their successful projects is the Charity Shop the Anns opened in the Roadri Centre, Three Rivers.
The Charity shop was the brainchild of past president Myrtle Stringer.
The shop was opened in November 2021 with the assistance and support of the Late Trevor Nienaber from Ver-Bolt (Pty) Ltd.
The charity shop sells pre-loved thrift items of good quality and is open from Wednesday to Friday except on public holidays.
The Anns is a small group of eight dynamic women who nicknamed themselves the Golden Girls. One of the active Rotary Ann members Janet Mullen has just turned 90.
The incoming President Ina Labuschagne looks forward to her new year as President of the Anns and has a lot of exciting projects in store.
The Anns wish to create hope in the world, which is their new theme for the Rotary year.
