A real treat for robotics fans!

For those looking to take their robotic journey to the next level: TCR-Group would like to welcome new members to join their senior robotics team, gearing up for the FTC competition (FIRST Tech Challenge).

Trophy Computers & Robotics (TCR-Group) is buzzing with activity and innovation as they gear up for a series of thrilling events! These events will provide opportunities for students of all levels to dive into the exciting world of robotics.

At TCR-Group, the robotics club is not just a club but a hub of creativity and learning for learners ranging from preschool to Grade 9. The journey begins with a special preschool program tailored to spark young minds’ interest in robotics. Moving on to the Junior Phase, students engage in hands-on learning with LEGO mechanics, laying a strong foundation for their robotic endeavours.
From Grade 4 to Grade 9, the excitement reaches new heights with LEGO robotics and micro:bit robotics programs. Learners are challenged with different obstacle fields every term, honing their problem-solving skills and creativity. The club is not just about fun and games; TCR-Group is actively participating in national competitions, showcasing their learners’ talent and hard work on a larger platform.

The upcoming event that has everyone at TCR-Group on the edge of their seats is the interschools BottleSumo competition scheduled for May 18 at Fundamental Faculty in Three Rivers. Five schools will be competing, each vying for the top spot in this thrilling robotic challenge.
But the excitement doesn’t stop there. As the school term draws to a close, TCR-Group has something special planned for the public. Three full days of hands-on entertainment await at VaalMall, where kids can immerse themselves in the world of Destructobots – engaging in the thrilling task of popping balloons using the awesome robots of TCR-Group.

For those looking to take their robotic journey to the next level, TCR-Group is on the lookout for new members to join their senior robotics team, gearing up for the FTC competition (FIRST Tech Challenge). This is a chance for learners to showcase their skills and passion for robotics on a competitive stage.
And it’s not just learners who can benefit from TCR-Group’s initiatives. Schools and teachers are also invited to participate in the excitement. The club’s next teacher training session is scheduled during the June/July holiday, offering educators a chance to enhance their skills and knowledge in the DBE CAPS robotics curriculum.

Schools that don’t have the time or resources to set-up their own robotics and computer centres, can outsource to TCR-Group to present classes at their school during school time.
For more information on how to get involved and be part of this thrilling journey into robotics, interested individuals or schools can contact TCR-Group at 082 851 8892 or email trophyrobotics@gmail.com. Alternatively, visit their website at https://tcr2024.wixsite.com/tcrgroup
