High-octane start to SA F1 Powerboat Series in Vanderbijlpark

VANDERBIJLPARK - The Vaal River was ablaze with action as the SA F1 powerboat series opener of the 2025/2026 season was hosted at the Emerald Resort.

It was fun in the sun on the banks of the Vaal River for spectators, while the racers provided the excitement and entertainment last weekend.

F1 Powerboat racing features high-speed, cutting-edge boats capable of over 120 mph and extreme cornering.

On Sunday, in the second heat of the F1 class, a collision between Dylan Moolman and John Ross Duncan resulted in Moolman not being able to complete the race.

The next F1 racing date to look forward to is on October 25 in Witbank, Mpumalanga.
