Five suspects arrested with copper worth R350 000 in Boipatong
The men with ages ranging from 25 to 62 are set to appear at Vanderbijlpark Magistrates Court on Wednesday, August 23.
BOIPATONG .– Five men were arrested on Tuesday, August 22, for possession of suspected stolen copper cable in Boipatong.
Suspects were arrested during a multi-disciplinary operation held in the region comprising Gauteng Traffic Police, Crime Prevention Wardens, and members of the South African Police Services.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Gauteng Traffic Police spokesperson Sello Maremane said the suspects are set to appear at Vanderbijlpark Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
“Gauteng traffic police arrested five suspects in Boipatong for being illegally in possession of copper worth almost R350 000. The suspect’s age ranges between 25 and 62. The suspects are going to appear at Vanderbijlpark Magistrates Court to face charges relating to being illegally in possession of copper,” he said.
Maremane issued a stan warning following the arrest.
“No form of criminal activities will be tolerated in our province. Members of the public are encouraged to report any form of criminal activities to our law enforcement agencies to combat crime,” he said.
