Single-vehicle accident leaves man critically injured

A man was critically injured after his vehicle veered off the road.

MEYERTON.-Cert SA reports that a man sustained critical injuries after getting involved a single-vehicle accident.

The incident happened on Sunday afternoon around 17:25 on Meyer Road, Meyerton.

According to Cert SA, the man’s vehicle veered off the road, collided with a tree, and rolled down an embankment.

Midvaal Fire Department, ER24 and A Assist Towing were present at the scene.

Cert SA said: “The patient had to be extricated from the vehicle using the Jaws of Life. He was stabilised on scene and transported to a nearby private hospital by ER24.”
