Mother to 12 seek assistance

VANDERBIJLPARK. – She stays in a two room RDP house in Bophelong with 13 children in all.

Piling up on the floor every evening, this is the setup Manaene Motejana (46) bare every day. Now, the 46-year-old is extending a request for help as a good Samaritan has donated her building materials to extend their home so it fits everyone.
Speaking to Ster South, Motejana said “ I went to a local radio station to ask for assistance and there was good feedback. A number of good Samaritans offered to assist me in extending the house. They have gathered some bricks, planks among other building materials,” she said. Motejana said life hasn’t been easy for her and her family and asked for further assistance with clothing donations.

I stay with 13 children and no one works” “I have five kids all in all and our cousin also has five kids and my daughter has one,” she said.
“We would appreciate any donations. The ages of the children living with Motejana range from 34, 29, 19, 15, 15, 14, 10, 8, 5, 4, 2, 10 months and six months,” she said.
Simon Nkosi from #Rekaofela Kasi said “We deal with issues related to crime in our community and help other families who need certain donations. We felt the need to assist the lady and we approached Bophelong Bricks who donated bricks, and other stakeholders who are having their fair share.”
“We are shot with sand, crusher, and correlated steel for roofing and extend the plea to others who can assist to make the plan of extending the house possible,” he said.
