The Democratic Alliance (DA) Emfuleni Central Constituency maintains its steadfast stance that the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children should go beyond mere awareness.

Constituency head Dady Mollo emphasised: “It’s crucial not only to raise awareness about Gender-Based Violence but also to collectively take on the responsibility to safeguard and respect our communities, ensuring that justice prevails.”

Mollo highlighted that Gender-Based Violence continues to be a prevalent violation of human rights, yet unfortunately, it remains one of the least prosecuted crimes.

Tackling this issue requires a shared responsibility among all members of society, particularly addressing the entrenched toxic masculinity prevalent in their community.
The party urges each individual to firmly reject Gender-Based Violence.
