Village Kitchen launched for the Waterdal community

The community welcomed this initiative, saying it is going to be of great help to them.

SEBOKENG.- Serapeng Sa Dithlare (NPC) launched a Village Kitchen for the community in Waterdal, outside Sebokeng on Saturday.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, the organisation’s founder, Mamosuwe Tsoabi, said this project is going to benefit more than 200 households in the area.
The demonstration of different renewable energy sources for domestic use was showcased as Serapeng Sa Dithlare presented how the products work.
Tsoabi explained to the community how this kitchen is going to benefit those in need.
She said the Village Kitchen is powered by a biogas digester, which is a gas-generating system that was built.
“We at Serapeng Sa Dithlare are excited to launch this initiative that is going to benefit the whole Waterdal community. Everyone is excited about this Village Kitchen, and I have no doubt that it is going to make a lot of difference in our community. It is our responsibility to ensure that this is utilised in the right way because this gas is transported to the kitchen via a gas pipe connected to the gas stove,” she concluded.
