EFF campaigns at VUT
Ndlozi said the voting day should be a date for young people with their future and not entertainment.
VANDERBIJLPARK. – With the political landscape heating up in the run-up to the 29 May elections, the Vaal region has seen a surge of
activity as parties vie for support.
Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Member of Parliament, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, visited the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) campus on Friday, 9 May, to rally students behind the party’s cause. Amidst a sea of red berets and vibrant EFF regalia, Ndlozi addressed a crowd of students who passionately supported the EFF’s policies.
Speaking at the main residence fields, Ndlozi emphasised the importance of education as a tool for empowerment, promising increased access to free quality education and the eradication of student debt.
“Education must be free,” he stated.
Drawing a comparison with professional athletes, Ndlozi continued: “If Percy Tau is paid for being talented in soccer, how much more with a person talented in physics, mathematics, and biology? We must pay you for that talent. Once we pay you, you will make an effort and work hard in bringing solutions for the problems of society,” he said.
Ndlozi said the voting day should be a date for young people with their future and not entertainment.
“We want you to give the EFF a chance. The 29th of May is not a holiday or time to party. It is your appointment as a young person with your future. We don’t wake up and do anything else, we wake up and report at voting stations,” he said.
Ndlozi was flanked by EFF’s Sedibeng Regional Chairperson Isaac Khithika and the EFFSC leadership from different institions in the region.
