Confiscated liquor destroyed

Selling liquor illegally not only destroy our communities but also our economy.

SHARPEVILLE.- Sedibeng District Police together with other law enforcement agencies and external stakeholders disposed of liquor in Sharpeville yesterday, Friday.

A total of 892 466 millimeters of confiscated liquor was disposed of at Leeukuil Water Treatment Plant in Sharpeville.

The liquor was seized during integrated crime prevention operations conducted by South African Police in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies in the Sedibeng District.

Major General Mukwevho in her keynote address stated that the event was not only about destroying illegal liquor but it was a demonstration to the communities to safeguard the well-being and the safety of the citizens she further stated that selling liquor illegally not only destroys our communities but also our economy.

Sedibeng District Police Stations together with different law enforcement agencies, CPF, and external stakeholders had successfully shut down several illegal liquor establishments across the district and issued fines to the owners, various brands of liquor were destroyed.
