BOIPATONG.- LebzCafé has proudly announced the successful completion of a three-day Short Barista Training Program in partnership with Jet Nteo School of Specialization in Commerce, Hospitality, and Entrepreneurship.
This initiative, held at the school in Boipatong, is part of a broader strategy to equip South African learners with the practical skills needed to thrive in various economic sectors, promoting self-sufficiency and entrepreneurship among our youth.
Lebohang Nyandeni, the Managing Director of LebzCafé who is also a Professional Member of Specialty Coffee Association of Southern Africa said that in 2023, they had the honour of attending the launch of the Jet Nteo School of Specialization led by the MEC of Education, Matome Chiloane and witnessing the establishment of this school gave great hope for the future of education and skills development in our communities.
“We are thrilled to continue our efforts in providing valuable skills training that fosters growth and economic emancipation for our learners.”
During the intensive program, participants were provided hands-on training and awarding of certifications for successful completion.
“This experience not only enhances their employability but also nurtures the aspiration of many learners to either join the workforce at LebzCafé or embark on their journey to operate their own coffee shops,” said Nyandeni. He added that the Barista Training Program is a prime example of how Schools of Specialization can leverage partnerships to enhance educational outcomes.
“As we celebrate the achievements of our learners at the Jet Nteo School of Specialization, we reaffirm our commitment to expanding learning opportunities and supporting vocational training as a means to foster a skilled and capable workforce in South Africa. Together, we are building a brighter future—one barista at a time.”
