Johan Heyns District Hospital building underway

The renovations are expected to be completed by 2028.

VANDERBIJLPARK.– Renovations at Johan Heyns Clinic in Vanderbijlpark, as part of the provincial health department’s plans to convert it into a district hospital, continue.

The acting Chief Director of Sedibeng District Health, Lindani Sonwabo, and his management staff visited the construction site earlier this week where a  temporary structure has been set up to ensure comprehensive primary healthcare services are fully provisioned at the clinic while the main building is renovated into a district hospital.

The visit was to identify areas that need improvement while awaiting the new structure for the clinic. The renovations are expected to be completed by 2028.

Meanwhile, Sonwabo together with his entourage and Labour Unions representatives also conducted an oversight visit at Johan Heyns. This visit aimed at identifying areas that needs improvement while awaiting the new structure for the clinic.
