Jeanine ready to split the bullzeye

looking for a podium finish

VANDERBIJLPARK – Jeanine van Kradenburg continues to blaze trails in the world of archery. The Vanderbijlpark native is a record-setting 11-time consecutive South African national champion and clinched the title of African Champion in 2022, with multiple podium finishes at Archery World Cup events.

Reflecting on the thrill of competition, she shared: “I have to admit I just love the rush and pressure of standing on the line shooting in a gold medal match.” Jeanine’s exceptional performance at the African qualifiers, held in Johannesburg from April 4–6, secured her a coveted place for the 2025 World Games in Chengdu (August 8-17) representing South Africa among 27 nations in the compound archery discipline. Beyond her own accomplishments, Jeanine is also celebrated within her community for her mentorship.

A 2023 Vaalweekblad feature highlights her role as a coach to young rising star Clarissa Steenekamp. Clarissa, a former student of Emfulenipark Primary, trained under Jeanine’s guidance.
