Police dispose of SAPS 13 exhibits

Police executed a destruction of the exhibits which were booked as far back as 2013.

The Vereeniging police recently disposed of the South African Police Services’ (SAPS) 13 exhibits at Cape Gate in Vanderbijlpark.

VEREENIGING.- The Vereeniging police recently disposed of the South African Police Services’ (SAPS) 13 exhibits at Cape Gate in Vanderbijlpark.

Under the command of Captain Schlebusch, they police executed a destruction of the exhibits which were booked as far back as 2013. Police spokesperson, Constable Busisiwe Sango said that the exhibits included various non-valuable items such as dangerous weapons, knives, pangas, and scissors.

“Among exhibits disposed were dagga, illicit cigarettes, clothes, and counterfeit products. The items disposed of are those that cannot be disposed of by public auction. The destruction was made possible through the hard work and dedication of SAPS 13 official warrant officer Pringle. A total of 2,691 exhibits were destroyed. The mentioned exhibits include lost and found, unclaimed, and disposal orders from detection.”
