Attempted murder at Sharpeville Clinic

SHARPEVILLE.- A case of attempted murder is being investigated by the Sharpeville police after a group of men allegedly forced their way into the Sharpeville clinic on Sunday.

The Sharpeville police were summoned to a scene of attempted murder and upon arrival it was alleged by the complainant, a security guard at the clinic, that he was on duty when he heard noise coming from outside.

“He went to check and that’s when he saw a group of men who forced their way inside the premises of the clinic one of the men took out a firearm and chased the victim around the clinic as he was firing shots,” said police spokesperson, Sergeant Busisiwe Sango.

The suspects fled the scene after firing the shots.

Sharpeville police are pleading with the community to come forward with any information that can assist the police with the investigation.
