SEDIBENG.- With SAFA Sedibeng Hollywood will be in action at various venues in Sedibeng this weekend, the Emfuleni Local Football Association’s (ELFA) Super League season for 2025/2026 is set to kick off on October 18.
As things stand, the registration process for players is underway through the MySAFA system. League coordinator Oupa Tladinyana said every team is required to register its players before the kick-off next weekend.
Tladinyana urged clubs to finalise their squads promptly to avoid any delays.
According to Tladinyana, a total of 24 teams confirmed their participation for the upcoming season.
“Look, we want the league to start on the said date because many players will soon be sitting for final exams. My plea to the teams is to do everything in their power so that we can start the league next weekend,” said Tladinyana.
Meanwhile, Sedibeng Ster Sport has learned that a pre-season tournament is also planned to assess the readiness of the teams.
NWU Vaal FC were crowned the league champions last season and earned promotion to the SAFA Sedibeng Hollywood Men’s Regional League for the 2025/2026 season. Meanwhile, SAFA Sedibeng Men Regional League will be in action at various venues in Sedibeng this weekend.
