Father and child survive balcony fall in Vereeniging CBD

VEREENIGING – A critical rescue operation unfolded in the Vereeniging CBD when a child fell from a balcony window. In a desperate attempt to save his child, the father also fell, sustaining serious injuries.

Emergency services, including Gauteng EMS, ER24, Sharpmed, and police, responded rapidly to the scene. The child was rescued first, followed by a challenging recovery of the injured father. Both the father and child were stabilised on scene and transported to the hospital for further medical treatment.

Sekuriteit Sonder Grense praised the professionalism and swift co-ordination of all personnel involved, describing the operation as a life-saving effort carried out under extreme conditions.
