ELM residents asked to report sewage problems here!

Are you experiencing sewage leaks or overflows in your street or neighbourhood? Emfuleni residents are urged to report these incidents now.

Residents throughout the Emfuleni Municipality are encouraged to report on long-standing sewage leaks so they can be submitted independently to the relevant authorities.

This is an independent initiative and is not affiliated with or operated by the local municipality.

“Let’s see how quickly we can get these problems attended to and fixed. We are starting with sewage spillages first. Water leaks will be tackled next,” says Rosemary Anderson, spokesperson.

Suzy de Beer of Vereeniging is one of many residents who have been dealing with sewage problems for more than three years. “It just gets worse by the day. My dogs can’t even use the yard, for fear that they might drink the water,” she says.
