Aarav performs in English SA Olympiad

Congratulations to this young learner from Curro who achieved excellent results in the English Home Language Category.

VANDERBIJLPARK – Aarav Bisunder, a Grade 7 learner at Curro Vanderbijlpark, achieved third place nationally in the Grade 7 English Home Language category of the 2026 English SA Olympiad.

His parents are immensely proud of his accomplishment. His mother Priya Bisunder said they believe that academic excellence is nurtured over time through a combination of natural ability, dedication, a supportive home environment and the guidance of exceptional educators.

“We would particularly like to acknowledge Ms Stephanie Strauss, who has taught Aarav English Home Language for the past three years. Her dedication, encouragement and commitment to nurturing his abilities have made a meaningful contribution to his academic development.

“We are equally grateful for the exceptional educational foundation Aarav received throughout his primary school years at Curro Vanderbijlpark. Every teacher who has contributed to his educational journey has played a part in shaping the confident, curious and capable young learner he is today.”

Aarav’s determination, enthusiasm for learning, and willingness to challenge himself have contributed to this wonderful accomplishment.

“We hope that sharing his success will inspire other young learners in our community to believe in their abilities, embrace academic challenges, and strive for excellence,” Priya concluded.
