VANDERBIJLPARK. – The First cricket team of NWU Vaal is quickly closing on Joburg Cricket Club the log leaders of the CGL Premier League. Joburg CC is currently on top of the league with 35 points followed by NWU Vaal on 32 points.

Both teams have played 4 and won three matches so far. On Sunday, March 6  NWU Vaal beat Alexandra CC by 125 runs to edge closer to the top of the log.
