SASOLBURG. – The 27th Sasol Sasolburg Marathon will be taking place tomorrow at the DP de Villiers Stadium in Sasolburg. Hailed as the biggest marathon in the Free State and as one of the best-organized athletics events, the Sasol Sasolburg Marathon remains a prominent event on the Sasolburg sporting calendar.

The race, which has been sponsored by Sasol for the past 26 years, is a melting pot that brings together athletes from different races and backgrounds from different parts of Southern Africa. In 2020 local athlete Peter Muthubi won the 42.2km men’s race in a time of 02:25.09 and Renata Vosloo won the women’s marathon in 02:53.00.

We will have to wait and see who is crowned as the Sasol Marathon King and Queen tomorrow.
