VAALPARK – Austrias former top-ranked amateur, Max Steinlechner, finished the third round of the Sunshine Tour’s Mediclinic Invitation at the Heron Banks Golf Course 19-under-par to stay on top of the leaderboard.
Max followed up scores of 64 and 65 with another consistent round of 65 to lead the pack one shot ahead of Daniel van Tonder (-18) who is breathing down his neck.

Max scored an impressive five birdies in six holes on the back nine. Daniel also played a great back nine scoring two eagles in three holes to sign off on a 65.

Jacques Blaauw (-16) is in third place after a 64, while Nikhil Rama produced the low round of the day with a 63, which lifted him to 11 under par overall.
The young Austrian has taken full advantage of being granted an invitation this week and is now one round away from a maiden victory on the Sunshine Tour.

The final round will take place tomorrow. The first tee-off time is 06:15. Spectators are welcome to attend.
