Filipo Romeo’s apartment, contents on auction

Bernardi Auctioneers will be offering by public auction assets in the estate of the late Filipo Romeo, a well-known Bedfordview personality.


Under the hammer at 11am on Saturday is a quality 106m2, two bedroom apartment in the complex Villa Del Sol, a 1997 Mazda 323 motor vehicle and the lavish contents of the apartment.

These include Reprodux and Phil O’Mahoney imported British and American furniture and embellishments, Royal Doulton, Royal Albert, Noritake dinner and tea services, trio’s, Persian carpets, 72 piece Christofle cutlery set, Swarofski ornaments, Murano, electroplate, gold and diamond jewellery and coins, ladies and gent’s watches, Rado, Tag Heuer, Raymond Weil, Omega, Michel Herbelin, YSL and a collection of Italian gent’s clothing and shoes. Quality imported kitchen and glassware, Le Crueset and AMC cookware, LCD TV and hi-fi equipment, a collection of Andre Rieu DVD’s, classical CD’s and records are also for sale.

The apartment and loose assets will be sold on site at Unit 12, Villa Del Sol, 45 Regent Street, Bedfordview at 11am.

The terms are 10% deposit and 5.7% buyer’s commission for the property, and R2 000 refundable deposit for the loose assets.

The viewing will take place Friday  from 10am until 5pm and on the morning of the sale.
