Best of both worlds

Park Village Auctions (PVA) has been instructed by business practitioners to auction a collection of earthmoving equipment stemming from Lonfin Mining Services today and on November 20 and 24 by way of timed online and on- site/live webcast auctions.

Assets to be auctioned via the timed platform include, among others, 2012 Komatsu HD465-7 rigid dump trucks, a fleet of Bell B30D and B40D ADTs, a fleet of Hitachi ZW250 and ZW310 wheeled loaders, a fleet of Shantui SL50 and SL60 wheeled loaders, Shantui SD32 dozers and Hitachi and Shantui excavators.

The first lot of assets was auctioned between 10.30am and 2.30pm on November 20. Viewing was on November 19 at Samquarz Mine in the Delmas District from 9am to 3pm.

Earthmoving equipment to be auctioned via the on-site and live webcast auction on November 24 at 10.30am includes, among others, a fleet of Terex TR60 and TR45 rigid dump trucks, 2012 Komatsu HD465-7 rigid dump trucks, a fleet of Shantui SD32 dozers, a 2012 Kawasaki 115ZV wheeled loader and a fleet of Aquarock Dominator drill rigs.

Viewing of these assets will take place today at 12-14 Delta Street, Waterval East, Rustenburg from 9am to 4pm.

PVA’s LeRoy Augustyn says they offer the best of both worlds in that those who want to “kick the tyres” as it were can do so on-site at the viewing days in Delmas and Rustenburg and then bid online for the lots they are interested in from the comfort of their computers.

He adds that given the generic function of the equipment, the auctions should appeal to a broad cross-section of buyers, which is likely to boost the number of bidders.
