After losing out on a slew of award categories at the Metros, Babes Wodumo says she doesn't understand how people who aren't booked for gigs are winning all the gongs.

Speaking to Zkhiphani.com, the Gqom star said she was definitely following through with her plan to boycott the South African Music Awards if she didn’t win in any of the three categories she is nominated in.

The entertainer, who is also nominated for a BET award, said she, together with artists such as Kwesta, had dominated the local music scene and were fully booked for gigs, yet other musicians won awards instead of them.
