Noah’s Daily Show kicks off tomorrow

For a South African comedian who tells mainly South African jokes, landing a job as host of an international talk show is unprecedented.

But Trevor Noah’s recent success is no fluke. It is a combination of years of hard work and dedication. Earlier this year, Noah was announced the official host for Comedy Central’s The Daily Show – taking over from Jon Stewart – which premieres tomorrow on DStv Channel 122 at 9pm.

With most of the show’s key staff members – including award-winning executive producers – remaining on the late night show, Noah is most certainly in good hands. During Stewart’s reign the show received three Emmys for outstanding variety talk series, outstanding writing for a variety series and outstanding directing for a variety series.

Noah aims to bring a new perspective to the programme, while staying true to the show’s original voice. Comedic superstar Kevin Hart will be Noah’s very first guest, followed by Whitney Wolfe, founder and CEO of Bumble.
