AKA hit-maker signs with Khuli Chana’s management

Producer and rapper Tweezy is ready to shake up the industry.


It was announced today that he has joined Dream Team SA – the same company managing Khuli Chana. Tweezy, real name Tumelo Thandokuhle Mathebula, is no stranger to the industry and is widely known and respected for his work as a producer- but now his stepping it up as a rapper. He’s been heavily promoting his new single Ambition since last month.

The song has already been lauded and charted at number two on YFM’s Urban Top 40. Tweezy also produced AKA’s hit single Run Jozi.

He started in 2013 and was quickly affiliated with the likes of AKA. They started working together and produced Run Jozi in 2014. Their musical chemistry also resulted in the release of Sim Dope and All Eyes On Me which both charted number one locally on the South African Electronic Music Africa Charts.

Other artists Tweezy has worked with include Chad Da Don, Speedsta, L-Tido and Casper Nyovest.

“I’m really excited to have joined Dream Team SA and I feel that our partnership will contribute to my growth as an artist. I plan to release a project this
year and people should expect the best of me,” the rapper says.

Other artists in the Dream Team SA stable include Gigi Lamayne, Muzart, Stones & Bones, DJ Zan-D and Thembi Seete.
