AKA set for LA showdown at BET Fan Fest

Kiernan “AKA” Forbes’s kingdom seems only to be getting bigger and stronger as time goes by. The SupaMega has been announced as one of the performers at the BET Experience Fan Fest. The event, to be held in Los Angeles at the Los Angeles Convention Center, is free to all the partygoers and is scheduled for Saturday, June 25.

AKA will share a stage with the likes of Break Every Chain gospel hit-maker Tasha Cobbs; German singer and songwriter Bibi Bourelly; Desiigner, who will perform his hit song Panda; Triple Threat singer, songwriter and rapper Dreezy; and rap icon Fat Joe, among others.

The BET Awards have seen our most-loved local talents Cassper Nyovest, AKA and Black Coffee being nominated in the Best International Act: Africa category. They face stiff competition from other continental powerhouses, Nigerian superstar Wizkid, Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Yemi Alade (Nigeria), Mzvee (Ghana), and Serge Beynaud (Cote d’lvoire).

The BET Awards ceremony will take place on June 26.

June could prove to be a lucky month for the kingdom as AKA as also been nominated for Record of the Year for Baddest and Best Collaboration for All Eyes On Me at the Samas on Saturday.
