Anele to clear the air about Kelly Rowland ‘beef’ on MacG’s ‘Podcast and Chill’

MacG's 'Podcast and Chill' on Channel O will touch on Anele's past beefs.

South Africa’s favourite troll, radio personality and TV presenter Anele Mdoda, will be making an appearance on Macgyver “MacG” Mukwevho’s celebrity edition of Podcast and Chill and Twitter is beaming with excitement.

The media personality took to social media to share a snippet of what is to come on the episode, set to air on Wednesday evening.

In the snippet, we see Anele and the Podcast and Chill crew touching on the drama between her and media personality, Phat Joe, which took place in 2019.

On his radio segment back then, Joe made a remark about Anele being a Miss South Africa 2019 judge.

“Anele Mdoda’s appointment as a Miss SA 2019 judge is affirmative action, is [sic] just to balance the equation, she knows she doesn’t deserve the position, how is she gonna [sic] justify her judgment,” said Phat Joe.

This stirred some social media backlash from Anele’s fans and Anele herself, who later responded to Phat Joe’s statements by saying that she does not need to possess his image of beauty to be able to identify beauty in other women.

“My beauty has nothing to do with whether I can see beauty or not,” said the radio personality.

Anele later posted a tweet where she said that Phat Joe had apologised for his statement, and that he did not mean to offend her or insult her in any way.

The snippet also shows MacG asking Anele about her ongoing “beef” with Kelly Rowland, which began in 2020 after the radio personality shared her unsolicited opinion on the American singer’s beauty.

The video ends with Anele sharing her sentiments that the host of the podcast could be a better candidate at interviewing Trevor Noah than she is, because he has South Park humour, while she has The Big Bang Theory humour.

The episode of Podcast and Chill which features Anele will air tonight at 9.30 on Channel O, DStv channel 320.
